Lyndall Locke and Beyonce in their lovey days
It hurts so bad to see that beautiful woman who should have been yours forever having the best time of her life with someone else, owing to some reprehensible mess you created while with her. For a time you'd wish she was never happy with her new man; hoping she still felt something -even if imperceptible- for you. Then, it'd grow to that point where you start becoming sad at her every joy, simply because you are not the reason for them. You practically start gloating her, and for a long time you'd have changed your persona to whom I call Mr. Schadenfreude. You'd ultimately become a hater without reason; hating on her success; hating on her new man; even hating on the idea that she's forgotten about you. You'd even find yourself wondering whether she still knows your name, or still thinks of you.
Well, that's probably the story of Lyndall Locke. Pop queen, Beyonce's first-ever boyfriend who let her go -sorry, cheated on her- because he couldn't continue with their vow of celibacy until marriage.
Queen B was actually committed to live her life with Locke forever. Locke once quoted the songstress as saying "I am afraid to live my life without you Lyndall, I want you to be mine forever".
But, I'm so sure that Locke is wishing he could turn back the hands of time right now; that baby Blue Ivy would be christened by him and would have been given an actual name right now, not abstracts. But then, he was honest enough to admit his fiasco:
“Who ever cheats on a woman as beautiful as Beyoncé? Well, I am that man and it’s something that’ll always haunt me” …
Well, Locke, she's moved on with the big man extraordinaire...It's not wise to lobby for pity parties.
