Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola today, 27th of February,
2014 renamed a hall initially named after him, in memory of slain Yobe students
killed by members of Boko Haram sect Tuesday morning.
While commissioning the hall at Fadeyi, Fashola thanked the Lagos Zonal Council of the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG for naming the hall after him, but said he will like to rename it after the slain secondary school students.
"I appreciate NUPENG's gesture but I will rename this edifice `Peace Hall`, in memory of the lives of the children that were brutally slain in Yobe by insurgents''he said. May their souls rest in peace.
