It is with heavy heart that I share this news; the painful passing of former Director General of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and former Minister of Information, Prof. Dora Akunyili.
She had been rumoured severally to have died but this time it's true! The very astute and resourceful former DG of NAFDAC passed on this morning in the Indian hospital where she was admitted on May 11 for medical treatment after her health condition worsened.
Although, she lived for only 59 years, her impact to the frame of the Nigerian society is timeless.
May her soul rest in total peace!
