Allegri rules out Juventus move for Balotelli

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri, has insisted that they are not interested in Mario Balotelli. The 24-year-old striker has endured a miserable time since he joined Liverpool from AC Milan last summer and has scored just twice for Brendan Rodgers’ team. His agent, Mino Raiola, was spotted at Juve’s training ground last week and speculations began that Balotelli was on his way back to Italy. Allegri, who worked with Balotelli at AC Milan, told Italian TV station RAI: “I think this is a made-up story. Balotelli has done very well with me but he belongs to Liverpool and he is not a player that can arrive at Juventus.”Allegri added in a news conference: “With me, Balotelli had a good year, with a good goalscoring record. Unfortunately he’s built a ‘persona’ outside of the football world and because of this people tend to talk more about what he does off the pitch than what he does on the pitch.
But I think the time has come for him to show that he really can achieve his full potential — through sacrifices and effort. Whether I would like to work with him againor not, well, I would love to have all the bestplayers, but he’s at Liverpool now, and while he is there he needs to concentrate on playing well. He needs to concentrate onshowing he is an important player.”

Not Good Enough: Xavi Believes Ronaldo Should Not Be In Ballon D’ Or Top Three

Barcelona icon, Xavi Hernandez has questioned Cristiano Ronaldo’s inclusion in the Ballon d’ Or list claiming that Ronaldo’s below par performance in the world cup didn’t merit an inclusion in the Ballon D’ Or top three.
The former Spain international claims that the two time ballon d’ Or winner didn’t deserve to be nominated stating “He[Cristiano Ronaldo] didn’t do much in the World Cup, and in a World Cup year, the season is defined by that,” in an interview with Sport magazine
Ronaldo
Xavi went on to state his top three as Messi, Lahm and Mascherano. Unsurprising that two of his top three are his teammates. Xavi was full of praise for his Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi. Claiming he imposes himself on teams.
Xavi seems to have forgotten that Ronaldo broke the goal scoring record in the champions league as Madrid won the champions league as well as leading his team to the club world cup as well as banging in 27 goals in 22 matches this season.

Fans Beat Up Referee In National League Match

Fans Beat Up Referee In National League Match

Charles Ozigbo was almost lynched on Friday by fans of Ranchas Bees of Kaduna during their National League clash with Kwara United.
The week 30 fixture was abandoned the previous week after the Kwara United players were threatened by fans of Ranchas Bees. The match was taken away from the Ahmodu Bello Stadium but that did not stop the Bees fans from invading the pitch and beating up Ozigbo after he correctly awarded a penalty against the Kaduna club. Ranchas Bees needed a win to gain promotion into the top flight while Kwara only needed a draw to see them return to the Premier league.
The incident is currently being investigated by the football league board

Dortmund Sticking With Klopp Despite Terrible Form

Dortmund Sticking With Klopp Despite Terrible Form

Borrussia Dortmund’s form this season has seen the plummet from the summit of European football to the bottom of the Bundesliga in just a little over six months but the club’s spotying director, Michael Zorc came out today to express the board’s support for the struggling Jurgen Klopp stating that the board would stand by their man.
Klopp who has guided Borussia Dortmund to two league titles and the champions league final to go with the German cup was at the helm when his team suffered their tenth defeat this season at the hands of werder Bremen, with pressure mounting on Klopp and Dortmund, Zorc was in an interview and he stated “Hans-Joachim Watzke, Jurgen Klopp and myself sat together on Sunday and discussed and analysed our situation. We are convinced that we will manage to get out of this current difficult situation together.”
Dortmund’s performances this season are partly down to the injury crisis which have plagued the team the whole season.

Cold: Ronaldo Snubs Platini After FIFA Club World Cup Win

Michel Platini is not the most liked man in Madrid after he claimed that he didn’t support Ronaldo to win the world cup claiming the Award needed to go to a player who had won the World Cup in a World Cup year.
Real Madrid released a statement condemning Platini the following day but Ronald seems to have taken the matter a little more personal. Ronaldo’s disdain for the French football legend was obvious as he snubbed Platini’s offer of a handshake following Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over San Lorenzo to win the club world cup

Alexis Sanchez Took A Dive: Rodgers

Alexis Sanchez Took A Dive: Rodgers

In the aftermath of his team’s 2-2 draw with Arsenal, Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers accused Arsenal’s forward, Alexis Sanchez of diving in order to get the free kick that lead to Arsenal equalizing at Anfield.
Rodgers who claimed to have been impressed with his teams show of character is quoted saying this in an interview after the match “We deserved to be one up at half-time and I don’t think it was a free kick in the build-up to their second. Alexis Sanchez dived for me and the referee bought it, but we have to defend better. We lost three duels and we need to win the first one” Brendan Rodgers also hailed his teams performances in recent times and went on to say claim that Liverpool were finally finding their rhythm.
Liverpool came back brilliantly to salvage a point against Arsenal despite being down to ten men at Anfield thanks to a Martin Skrtel header in the 95th minute.

Sport News: Chelsea could fall away like Arsenal – Pellegrini

707712_heroa

The Gunners suffered a dramatic dip in form in 2013-14, eventually finishing fourth, and the Manchester City boss has warned the Blues that the title is not decided in December

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has questioned Chelsea’s ability to maintain their title challenge and has suggested their form could collapse as quickly as Arsenal’s did last season.
The Gunners led the Premier League for over 120 days in 2013-14 but ultimately finished fourth, 16 points behind City, following a dramatic dip in form in the second half of the season.
And, having cut Chelsea’s lead at the top of the table from eight points to three in recent weeks, Pellegrini has suggested that the Blues could fall away in the same manner as Arsene Wenger’s men.
“I think Arsenal last season had a very similar number of points as Chelsea have now. So we’ll see what happens in the second half of the season and how many points you need to win,” the Chilean told reporters.
“Maybe Arsenal last season couldn’t do it in the second half, but we don’t know what Chelsea will do this year. I think that we must try and think about our team and not the others.
“We always believed that we could make up the points, because we had so many games to play.
“You never win a title in December. Maybe you can be the best team and winning all the games, but you don’t know what will happen in the second half of the season.
“So we have a lot of points to fight for. Our team always continues trusting in the way we play and the things we do.
“You maybe remember last season, when we had just five games left and knew that we had to win them? We did it. I don’t know what psychological impact it has on other teams, but in our team we always fight to the end and are never beaten until mathematics say you cannot win.”

manchester united manager van gaal-omogist

Here comes the boast. Manchester United’s new manager, Louis van Gaal has insisted that his team win EPL title this season after Sunday’s 3-0 win over Liverpool – but says the team still need to make improvements.
The Red Devils secured a 3-0 win with goals from Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Robin van Persie.
But it was ‘keeper David De Gea who was man of the match with a number of brilliant saves to ensure his side got the three points after United was cut open on several occasions.
Here what Van Gaal said:
“We are winning, but we have to improve our playing style,” he said. “I say that nearly every week.
“Only after the matches against QPR and Hull I have said, ‘OK, we are dominating the game for 90 minutes. We could have dominated this game for 90 minutes but we didn’t.
“We gave unnecessary balls away in the second half. We have to improve but we are very pleased because we know what it is to win against Liverpool. Everybody is happy.
“I think the most important match is always the next match and we have to see by match.”

David James Ex-England Goalkeeper Sells Off Property To Raise Money [sport]

David James, Ex-England goalkeeper was declared bankrupt and he auctioned his properties to raise money for his living

James 44, who reportedly grossed earnings £20m during his playing days was declared bankrupt in May 2014 and since then has been living off the scratch. He auctioned domestic items and football memorabilia belonging to him just to raise money for his living

Former England and Portsmouth goalkeeper, David James filed for and was declared bankrupt in May 2014 despite reported earnings of £20m in a playing career that spanned 26 years and cut across some of the biggest English clubs.
James 44, who doubles as manager and player for Indian Super League club, Kerala Blastershad his football memorabilia sold off in an auction by Hilco in Kent.
An England shirt he wore in their 1-0 win over Argentina in a group F clash at the 2002 World Cup went for £672: A Liverpool Jersey he used during his time at with the Kops during his 1992-1999 stay was sold for more than £160 while the one at Portsmouth fetched him £480.
Other items belonging to the ex-international sold at the auction include; an unused chopper bike, a chainsaw, an exercise bicycle, a synthesiser, a ‘I Love NY’ mug and three flat screen televisions.
Speaking at the auction, the auctioneer said: “Interest from around the world with more than 1,000 registrants across the 10-day sales period.
“We’ve not really dealt with a sale on behalf of a sporting celebrity like this before and clearly that had added some value to the lots.
“Sports memorabilia is a very popular market and signed shirts are the kind of items you can’t really put a price on, but there were also some very quirky lots in there too.
“There were more than 1,800 vinyl records, DJ decks and a customised Vauxhall Astra van, which attracted a lot of interest and sold for a very reasonable price.”

TONY HAWK develops the newest HOVER-BOARD alive. [check it out]

Tony Hawk, Hoverboard

Hoverboards are here, people—real ones, this time.
Tony Hawk and Funny or Die tried to trick us with a HUVr board promo back in March. Sadly, they were lying (for which they've apologized). Now, though, Hendo Hover really has created the world's first hoverboard, and in a video released Monday on the RIDE Channel's YouTube page, Hawk himself and skateboard enthusiast/writer Dave Carnie tested out the product firsthand.
The clip shows both fellas learning to master the tricky technology. "The thing is really hard to ride," Carnie wrote in a Ride Channel post. "Even Tony had a lot of difficulty trying to figure it out."

Who grabs 6 remaining 2015 AFCON qualifying tickets?

WITH 10 teams already qualified for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, six places will now be decided on Wednesday.
Equatorial Guinea have qualified automatically for the tournament to be played between January 17 and February 8 after they replaced Morocco as the host country.
Nine other countries have booked their passage to Equatorial Guinea after five rounds of qualifying matches at the weekend.

Keshi and Mashaba
Keshi and Mashaba

They are Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Gabon, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia
Nigeria and Congo are locked in Group A for the remaining ticket as they have seven points apiece, but enjoy the advantage of having whipped out a 3-2 loss they suffered at the hands of the Red Devils three months ago courtesy of the 2-0 win they recorded in Pointe-Noire  at the weekend.
A home win of whatever shade at the brand-new Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo for Nigeria against group winners South Africa will guarantee them an 18th appearance at the final tournament. This is notwithstanding what Congo manage in Sudan also on Wednesday.
Mali, Malawi and Ethiopia will jostle for another ticket in Group B, which has already been won by on-form Algeria.
Mali are second with six points and welcome Algeria to Bamako in midweek, while Malawi, who also have six points and an inferior goals difference, square up against bottom team Ethiopia, who are three points.
Bottom team Ethiopia could still qualify if they beat Malawi by at least two clear goals and Mali lose at home to Algeria.
Malawi are also in contention should they beat Ethiopia by a big score after they defeated them 3-2 at home in September.
They will go up to nine points and have cancelled out Mali on the head-to-head after they reversed a 2-0 loss in Bamako three months ago by also beating the West Africans 2-0 in Malawi. Mali have only to beat Algeria to seal qualification.
It is a straight fight between the Ivory Coast and DR Congo for a place in the finals.
The Elephants are second in the standings on nine points and need a draw at home against their conquerors Cameroon to qualify at the expense of DRC, who will be expected to beat bottom team Sierra Leone at home.
Group E is very much wide open and any four teams – Ghana, Uganda, Guinea and Togo – could still clinch the two tickets still up for grabs.
After their sensational 4-1 win in Togo, Guinea also now lead the third-best slot with seven points.
They now have to beat Uganda in Morocco by a better score than 2-0 loss they suffered when both teams clashed in Kampala in September.
Seven-time winners Egypt with six points are close on their heels on six points, but face a tougher task when they visit Tunisia on Wednesday.
The draw for the biennial competition will be staged in Malabo on December 3.
Contenders for other six places at a glance
Group A (1 place): Nigeria, Congo Brazzaville
Group B (1 place): Mali, Malawi, Ethiopia
Group D (1 place): Cote d’Ivoire, DRC Congo
Group E (2 places): Ghana, Uganda, Guinea, Togo
Best third-place team: Guinea lead with one match day left on Wednes, November 19
