More Tea On Rihanna’s New Album….

It’s all but confirmed from the horses mouth that Rihanna has something up her Stella Jean sleeve that she plans to unveil “soon.” And if history has taught us anything, “soon” is definitely sometime this month because you know November is when she likes to release her albums and snatch wigs.

According to DJ Skee, the entertainer had a secret listening session in NYC for the execs and label reps at Def Jam last week. The reliable source says Rih played 10 new songs for the suits, including a track titled,”I’ve Been Searching For Something To Ignite Me When I’m Alone” that may end up being the album’s lead single.

Although Rih was tight-lipped about R8′s release date during a Virginia meet-and-greet for her new men’s cologne on Wednesday, she did talk about outdoing herself and the pressure of having to come through with another chart-topping banger.

I can’t give you any hints of when it will drop. It’s going to be great, that’s all I’m going to tell you and I’m excited about it. I try to battle myself and outdo everything I’ve done and that’s been the hardest thing to do. You start over-thinking things at times. I can’t wait for everybody to hear (the music) little by little. … little by little. I can’t wait.

The pressure to be the best is very real, and something Ne-Yo talked about when he was in Europe on Monday. During an interview with Capital Xtra, the singer/songwriter said the pressure’s most definitely on for Rih because of the unspoken competition between her and Beyonce and B’s mega-successful surprise album.

It’s an unspoken competition. I don’t feel like they’re in competition with each other but the world kinda creates competition between the two of them. Beyonce came out and dropped a massive album that did incredible. So now everybody’s like, “Okay, so what’s Rihanna gonna do now?”

I’ve heard some of the stuff and the stuff I heard is absolutely incredible. I can’t speak on what it sounds like because I’ll get in trouble, but I definitely feel like people are gonna enjoy it. Anybody that’s Rihanna fan is gonna stay a Rihanna fan and anybody that’s not, might become a Rihanna fan behind what’s coming. Just gear up for it.
